MRS. CALLERY: I am glad to tell you that I succeeded in obtaining from her that she would leave her Matisse in our hands for the time being. She was perfectly charming about it but she doesn't want it peddled around - which, of course, I assured her we wouldn't do.

Pierre Matisse further is NOT supposed to know that we have it.
