that having an exhibition and dropping into the gallery from time to time in the most leisurely way, is to themselves an excuse as they consider it an effort they have made to cover their disinclination to face the problem from its right angle and "seize the bull by the horns".

It is very interesting from a psychological end but from a business one it is too expensive with everything it involves - a staff of salesmen, boys to handle things, special girls to address letters, telephone calls which make no sense, etc. If I had witnessed real efforts towards trying to get in touch with these important people of whom we have names, addresses, business connections, etc., and if these efforts time after time have failed, I might have convinced myself that an exhibition was the only method, but I never got that far.
