Mr. Germain Seligmann

July 14th., 1941.

Dear Sir:
Your letter of July 7th., with which you enclose lease in duplicate covering apartment occupied by Mr. Germain Seligmann at 47 E. 61st. Street, has been received in his absence.

In a long-distance telephone conversation with Mr. Seligmann, he asked me to tell you that he will sign these leases on his return in the first days of September.

May I however, call to your attention Mr. Seligmann's letter of July 1st., the sole purpose of which was to give you before his departure, written assurance of his entering into a new lease for the premises he is at present occupying. I believe that should be sufficient to warrant your carrying out the work specified, during the Summer.

Regarding the alterations, etc., Would it be possible to take care of these during July? Mr. Seligmann of course wishes his maid to be at the apartment while the work is going on, and if you will be so kind as to 'phone me when this is to be done, I shall make the necessary arrangements.

Yours very sincerely,

Secretary to Mr. Germain Seligmann.
