May 1st., 1941.

Dear Sir:

Mr. Germain Séligmann (at present occupying apartment 6-A, 47 East 61st. Street) has asked me to acknowledge receipt of your letter of April 16th.

Since its receipt, he has spoken to Mr. Flanagan.

Mr. Séligmann is anxious to know on what basis you would draw up a lease for the year begining October 1st., 1941, were he to decide to remain in that apartment. You too are aware, however, that whereas the apartment in question was flooded with sunshine at the time the original lease was signed, it now has light but an hour or so a day - the building opposite being very high, Though Mr. Séligmann had been told that the then proposed construction could be only "8 to 10" stories.

Yours very truly,

Secretary to Mr. Germain Séligmann.

J. J. Atkinson, Esq.,
540 Park Avenue,
New York, N.Y.
