A busy Monday!

The doll's name is Olympia. She is a mechanical doll made by the scientist Spalanzani & his friend Coppelins. The former introduces her as his daughter. The aria (a sort of rondelay) sung by Olympia is called "Doll Song", in English acc. to Victor Book of the Opera, "her biseauz daus la charmille" is the first line in French acc. to score & libretto. Later in this act Hoffman sings to her "Doruxavese, gage de nos armours"
