July 2, 1946

Dear Germain:

You will be interested to know that amongst other people, Mr. Ritchie came in. I took him to the warehouse to see the COURBET. He asked me to send it to Buffalo.

We did not speak of prices or of bills, so I suppose the matter will go directly to Weil.

The COROT is at Miss Testut. She is going to return it on Monday, July 7th. I ordered a composition frame of a similar model as the SEURAT "Parade", which was the best I could find. The Louis XV was horrible; the XVI, hideous. The only one that fitted was that type of a frame. We are having that delivered in about a month; with gilt leaf for approximately $40.-.

I just had the visit of the young Mellerio, who tells me that his brother is sending over most important documents concerning the bust. As we are closing for the fourth of July, I gave him my private address where he could join me.
