Edward Meder Carpenter & Cabinet Maker vs. Seligman $77.50

Mrs. Seligman,
47 East 61st St.
New York City.

Dear Madam:

This is to notify you that the Carpenters & Cabinet Makers Association of Greater New York is under our protection. We have received a complaint against you through one of its members, Mr.Edward Meder, Carpenter, of 153 East 70th St., New York City. Mr. Meder complains that a dressing table ordered by you and made according to your specifications amounting to $77.50 has never been paid for. The Carpenter has the table ready for your inspection at his place of business. There was a slight delay in getting the material needed. He has been put to an expense and cannot afford to lose this money as he is a poor man. We have been instructed to notify you by the Association that unless you redeem the table and make payment our attorneys will be forced to sue you for the money. We advise you to please adjust this matter direct with Mr. Meder immediately. Should you fail to do this, summons will be served upon you for the full amount of $77.50, plus $10 for legal expenses, which you will be forced to pay once the case goes to gourt [[court]]. The table has to be repainted and refinished. That is all.

Kindly take care of this matter at once and avoid further trouble and expense.

yours truly,
