My dear Mr. Peck:

We were very happy of course at the time to hear that Mr. Seligman's personal objects had been licensed for exportation to the United States, but we are rather at a loss to understand why we have not yet been advised of their being shipped.

We realize how difficult it is to arrange such matters, but on the other hand, wish to point out to you that Mrs. Andr[[?]] Seligmann's personal belongings, for the shipment of which she made the necessary arrangements only last December, have already arrived in New York.

You must understand that all these delays do not only cause us a great deal of worry, but also cost Mr. Germain Seligman personally heavy additional expenses for storage and insurance.

Trusting to hear from you very shortly and in the affirmative with respect to the above,

Bien amicalement à vous,

(O. A. Liechti)
