Dear Mr. Seligman:

Referring to our letter of December 10, 1946, we take pleasure in enclosing herein our check on J.P.Morgan & Co., Inc. in the sum of $3,000.- (Three thousand 00/100 dollars) being in further payment on account of our sale of the painting by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo "Martyrdom of St. Sebastian", which you had left with us on consignment.

By reason of the above payment the balance due and owing has been reduced to $2,500.- (Two thousand five hundred 00/100 dollars) which we shall remit to you if and when payment is received from our client.
