Dear Mr. Seligman:

I thank you for your letter from Ascona dated July 7th and am, of course, very pleased that Mrs. Seligman finds "meine alte heimat" so beautiful.

I was glad to receive your information regarding the three paintings which enabled me to straighten out the accounting, and I was considerably relieved to know what happened to the enamel.

Photostats: As requested, I am enclosing 28 photostatic copies of pages of your personal catalog which will give you, together with the others you took along with you, a complete set. As usual, your memory was right, the first item in New York being the two enamel candlesticks.

Shipment - Large statues Will you be good enough to instruct the responsible party to inform me of the amounts paid for packing and freight which I have to indicate to Lloyds for incorporation in the special policy.

Fifth Avenue Bank confirmed the transfer "B", thereby closing out that account.

Becker purchased 50 shares May Department Stores Pfd. 3-3/4%, payment in the sum of $5,022.40 was effected as per instructions through B.G.&R.

Sign Mrs. Lewis being away on vacation, I was not able to contact her in this connection.

I certainly do hope that Paris will soon become sensible enough to enable you to straighten out all the pending matters.

And now that you are away on a vacation, I trust that you enjoy it and have a good rest which you are badly in need of.

With best regards to you and Mrs. Seligman,

Sincerely yours,

(O. A. Lieehti)
