Dear Liechti:

I thank you for your cable of July 1st telling me that the license had been renewed. How this should have escaped both Mr. Robbins and myself is certainly strange, but I am very glad we are both wrong.

Yours of June 26th. As regards your accounting re the three painting, you are, of course, correct, but only in principle, as on the first 100,000 frs., and this on every painting, the full percentage of 21.40 is to be applied and the difference is only on the subsequent amount.

Enamels. You are right, I should have posted you, as I have decided to dispose of the one with the hole and therefore it is not to be included in my catalogue.

Mrs. Lewis is certainly a strange and disagreeable person.

Guaranty. I am much obliged to you for the information you so promptly sent me. I am sorry to say that in spite of the information you gave, the matter hasn't been settled yet, but it may ...... some day.

Further photostats needed.

As I want to leave here a complete set of the photostats of the catalogue of my private collection, up to the items which were added by me and/or you in New York. I am giving you herebelow a list of the items for which I have no photostats. All the other pages are in my possession. I can't tell how many pages these items represent, but you will make that out easily.

2P 7,2,9 - 17,18,19,20,21 - 57,58,59,60,61,62 - 68 to 81 inclusive
89 to 126 inclusive, 138 - 152 inclusive - 162 to the items added since in New York.

I believe that the first item added in New York was the two enamel candlesticks given me by Mr. Schiff and, as I said before, these are of no interest and are to be left out.

With thanks and best regards,
Bien avous
