[[note]] Letter No 4 [[/note]]

5 East 57th. St.
New York 22, N.Y.

December 27th., 1948

Dear Mr. Seligman:

Received today three letters: Maitre Chauveau, Copy enclosed.
Mr. Dubrujeaud, Copy enclosed.
John R. Wood, Consul of the United States of Am. in Paris. Copy enclosed.

Mr. Wood enclosed with his letter a memorandum which the American Embassy requested from Mr. Tuot. I have enclosed a copy of the latter's memorandum (in French) as it came in French with English translation.

Mr. Felix Wildenstein called; wanted to know when you would return; whether he could make a luncheon date with you for January 5th - if this were not possible then for the following week. I told him I would try to communicate with you, and will call him back.

Sidney Janis opened today an exhibition of paintings by Delaunay - most of which belong to Mme. Delaunay and have never been shown here before. I went in at lunch time just as he was hanging the last picture. It will be on until January 22nd. ample time for you to see it.

With best regards to you and Mrs. Seligman,

Sincerely,
