Dear Mr. Seligman:

Mrs. Parker gave me your messages this morning.

PAN AMERICAN AIRWAYS - I called up Pan American, who told me that in cases such as yours where delays in departure necessitate an overnight stay in St. John, passengers' accommodations are automatically made for them at their guest house in that city. Nevertheless, and at our request, they promised to cable reserving a double room and bath for you and Mrs. Seligman for tonight.

INSURANCE - LLOYDS - I was surprised myself, as in my mind this matter had been settled at our meeting of last Monday between you, Mr. Robbins, and myself, when you asked me what kind of letter I intended to write to Lloyds in order to cancel coverage on the items disposed of at the Wadsworth Sale. I told you that this was a mere routine matter, having either increased or decreased the face values of our floater repeatedly in the past, and would attend to it before December 31, 1948.

However, and as such is your desire, I am enclosing draft of my proposed letter to them.

MAITRE AIME BESSON - Taken care of as per your instructions.

MRS. TESTUT - We delivered to her the JUAN GRIS "L'Arlequin".

KNOEDLERS called for our painting by MARY CASSATT, pursuant to a telephone conversation with Mr. Georges.

December 18, 1948

STORA - Delivered to him at his request the pair of Italian 16th century Bronze candlesticks which we own in joint account with him.

Trusting you had a pleasant trip,

Sincerely yours,

(O. A. Liechti)
