Dear Mr. Seligman:

JANSEN, INC. returned the painting by Valenciennes. Mr. Chailloux tells me that his client - who I think is a South American - was quite impressed by it and we may hear further about this matter in the Fall.

COE finally sent his check for $1,500.-, without any accompanying letter, in payment of the Juan Gris. Mailed the usual acknowledgment. Deposited check at J.P.Morgan & Co., Inc.

I have made a note to take up the settlement of Curt Valentin's share on your return.

VISITORS - Arthur Kraft, who just returned from Paris, dropped in for a few moments prior to his trip home to the Middle West. He really was "effervescent" and seems to have been quite successful in Paris. An exhibition of his is scheduled to open in about a week in the Palais Royal in Cocteau's Studio. He promised to write to Mrs. Parker at length about his experiences.

TICKET REFUND - MRS. SELIGMAN: Copy of letter from Pennsylvania Railroad enclosed.

I thank you for your letter which I received this very moment.

MUSEUM OF MODERN ART: Have answered them as suggested by you and as per copy of letter enclosed.

MISS BAZNER: Gave her your message.

MRS. PARKER: called me this morning to say that at long last her telephone was installed, that she is very well, and that she will be back in town next Tuesday. At all events, I shall give her your message.

PERSONAL MAIL: Received a letter from Dr. Dessauer which I am leaving unopened.

Sincerely yours,

(O. A. Leichti)
