5 E. 57th St.
New York, 22, N. Y.

Dear Mrs. Seligman:

I regret to inform you the transportation you returned for refund is without redemption value.

When partly used tickets are returned for refund, it is customary to charge against the purchase price, the regular tariff fares for such portions as have been used. If baggage checked on a ticket has been transported between points where the passenger has not traveled, a charge, based on the weight of the baggage, is made for that service.

In this instance, the applicable charges exceed the amount paid.

I hope this will explain the matter satisfactorily, and again regret there is no refund we can make.

Yours truly,
F.M. Ware
General Passenger Agent
