In the absence of Mr. Germain Seligman who is away on his vacation, but with whom we will of course communicate in this respect, we wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of July 3, 1948 enclosing draft on the Manufacturers Trust Company of New York in the sum of $2,470.- (Two thousand four hundred seventy dollars)being in full payment, as per our agreement, of the painting by Hubert Robert "A Ruined Temple", which we had given you on consignment for sale.
