February 5, 1948

Dear Mrs. Seligman

The Red Cross turns to the people but once a year for help in alleviating the suffering of mankind, therefore we are writing to ask if you will accept the assignment as Red Cross representative in your house for the 1948 campaign which takes place during the month of March.

Your assistance is sorely needed to help raise the necessary funds which will permit the continuance of the Red Cross peace time services which include disaster relief, care of permanently disabled war veterans and aid to their families, and the maintenance of the newly established civilian blood donor services.

Full instructions will be outlined when you receive your supply kit during the month of February. The procedure is simply, permitting you a choice of personal contact or the distribution of literature through the mail receptacle in your apartment house.

If you honor us with your acceptance, won't you so indicate on the enclosed postal card and mail it to us.

Sincerely yours.
