Dear Sirs: I understand that you have, of had, in your possession, a portrait of Diene de Poitiers by Corneille de iyon. Would it be possible for you to let me have a photograph of this picture, or is it illustrated anywhere? I should much appreciate your reply. Yours faithfully.

2. From Daniel Catton Rich, Esq. The Art Institute of Chicago, Michigan Ave. at the foot of Adams, Chicago 3, Illinois.

Dear Mr. Seligman: Thank you very much for your kind letter of May 5th., regarding Mr. Richard Florsheim's work. I will talk to him about the possibility of sending more work in the autumn. I note that you are to be in Paris this summer. With kindest regards, I remain VSY.

3. From Miss Marion B. Owen - The Art Quarterly, The Detroit Institute of Arts 5200 Woodward Ave. Detroit 2, Michigan.

Dear Mr. Seligman: It is a policy of the magazine not to name specific galleries in the illustration captions but we have made a note of your wishes regarding acknowledgement to Buchholz for their courtesy in allowing the use of figure 5 and shall see that mention is made in the text. Regarding the reversal of figures 2 and 2 from the original manuscript, we try to arrange the illustrations with an eye to appearance rather than in the order in which they are [[strikethrough]] [[exption?]] [[/strikthrough]] mentioned in the text but are careful to see that the figure numbers refer to the proper illustration. SY.

Answer: In the absence of Mr. G.S. etc.....I shall bring your letter to his attention upon his return.
