No. 5 5 East 57th. St. New York 22, N.Y. May 27th., 1949 Dear Mr. Seligman: Thank you for your letter of the 22nd., which arrived a few days ago. I am so sorry about the Sherman E. Lee copy which you will surely find enclosed herein. (May 18,) Mr. David K.E. Bruce writes from Paris: Dear Mr. Seligman: I greatly appreciated your letter of congratulation which I found here on my arrival from Washington to take over my new post. It was so kind of you to write. With very many thanks I am, Sincerely yours. Signed David Bruce. The above letter head reads: Embassy of the United States of America. Enclosed also is another original letter from a M. Carpentier, 48 rue de Berri Paris 9, which Mrs. Parker suggests I enclose. As you say, I indeed was glad when the lists were finished. Now I am in the midst of the others, which are gradually growing. With best wishes and regards, Sincerely, E.B. Mr. Germain Seligman Seligmann & Cie. 23 Place Vendome Paris France
