Dear Mr. Seligman:

Your six communications dated July 16 and 17th just reached me, and I wish to thank you for all the answers you give me to my previous questions. I have duly noted to submit to you the various matters which you want me to take up with you on your return.

CRUCIFIXION DURANTHON: Sight measurements 28cm X 19cm. We took the measurements showing and including the gold border.

GRISELDA FRESCOES: I am very happy to read that this matter has taken a new and I trust very favorable turn. I am enclosing a letter just received from Sereni & Herzfeld.

CURTAIN FRONT ROOM: The material which we purchased but which had to be dyed first arrived this morning. I contacted Mr. Flam who in the past has done similar work for us, who will make up the curtain. Upon your arrival all that has to be done is placing.

Cost of material $2.95 per yard, plus $1.00 per yard for dying. As requested I am sending you in the enclosure two samples:

- brown which we are using in the front gallery.
- green which covered the tapestry room at 3 F. 51.

Such velvets may be purchased in New York anywhere from three to five dollars per yeard [[yard]]. I wish to stress however that these are cotton fabrics; silk velvets run as high as $20.00 per yard.

Duties range anywhere from 20% to 35% ad valorem and in certain instances there is an additional duty based on the weight, all depending on whether the material is manufactured of cotton, wool, silk, etc.

To clarify the situation however, I have asked Mr. Gelb to send me a memo listing these various duties, which you will find enclosed herein. I wish to call to your attention that we have a considerable yardage of red velvet at the warehouse, and may I also mention the gray velvet, though we have none left, which used to decorate the gallery of de Hauke & Co., and which looked very effective.

Mrs. Parker also asks me to ask you whether you could not get carpeting for our exhibition gallery.

INSURANCE COYSEVOX BUSTS: Yes, you did send me the whole correspondence with McKay Morant in this connection, but I received it only after I had written to you on this topic on June 23, 1950.

BASES COYSEVOX: Jack finished them; they measure 36cm square, while you indicated to me that ones in Paris measured 25 and 27 cm. Do you think we make them too large?
