Dear Liechti:

[] copy []

I am rushing off to you herein letter of Lefebvre-Foinet of July 19th and Copy of my answer which you will find self-explained story, as unfortunately there is nothing I can do now in this matter and it will be up to you, with Mr. Gelb, to straighten it out.

As long as I am on this topic of frames, in view of the number of such frames and their value, I have now decided that on the back of each and every frame you will have a number painted through a stencil. This could be inventory number, as some of them, in view of their cost will have gone through G.E. The avantage [[advantage]] of the stencilled number of the back will be that it will be that it will make it easy to keep track of them and should the frame of a painting be changed and replaced by another, we will always be able to be exactly posted. In view of of the fact that some of the frames are very small, the Stencils and figures, of course, should also be very small, Ink to be used will be red so that in spite of time they will be readily legible.

Herein also are copies of cables sent you.

Letter heads. Please send me another 18 sheets of large airmail paper with the firm's letter-head and 24 square air-mail envelopes.
