EDDIE CANTOR

July 12, 1950

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I just got back from my trip to Israel and I cannot begin to tell you about the situation over there. It's a story that cannot be told in a letter and it's a story I know you'll want to hear.

That's why I'm dashing this note off to you to make sure that you're planning to attend the United Jewish Appeal luncheon meeting on July 19th at the Hotel Commodore. I know Jack Weiler wrote to you and asked you to come to this luncheon but I want to add my voice to his and urge you, as earnestly as I know how, to attend.

Won't you please let me know that I can count on your being there?

Cordially,

[handwritten] Eddie Cantor
