Dear Mr. Seligman:

I am sending this note off today with a number of letters enclosed (personal) which Mr. Liechti brought over from your apartment this morning, and also copy of a letter from Miss Jane M. Bagg re your Seurat "Eiffel Tower",. received from Mrs. Parker.

I am so surprised not to have heard from you since your very first letter which was quite some time back, but perhaps you are very busy which should be a good omen.

Meanwhile, with best regards to you and Mrs. Seligman,

Sincerely,

Mr. Germain Seligman

Letter from Jane M. Bagg, Museum Assistance, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 77 Massachusetts Ave. Cambridge 39, Mass.

Dear Germain: The "Eiffel Tower" has been the focal point of interest in the entire exhibition and is a daily personal pleasure for me. As you know, the exhibition is scheduled to close on June 15, Recently I have been asked by the Director of the Summer Session if the exhibition might be extended a week. You have been- over-generous already and I hesitate to ask you if we may keep it longer. Should you wish the painting right away, do let me know and I'll send it along. Otherwise I'll plan to ship it (in its own crate) a week later than originally planned. Para. I had hoped that you would have a chance to see the exhibition. If by any chance you might be in Boston on a Saturday or Sunday when the gallery is closed, my home phone is Kenmore -6-0273 and I would be glad to open it for you. The "Eiffel Tower" was reproduced in the Christian Science Monitor when Dorothy Adlow wrote her article. (a Saturday edition in the middle of May). S.Y. Signed Janie.
