CIMA: I am very disappointed that the information given in my draft for an affidavit does not seem enough to satisfy the suthorities [[authorities]]. Is there anything further I can do in this respect?

DR. PLANISCIG: I phoned Mr. Robbins immediately and in order to expedite this matter asked him to instruct J.P.M. to forward to you: their Cashier's check in the sum of $1,000. Please find enclosed copy of my letter to Jack Friedenberg, c/o Hudson Shipping Co.

[GRISELDA FRESCOES: I had a lengthy conversation with Prof. Sereni, as per your instructions, and he is also of the firm opinion that he should make further investigations in this matter. He agrees with you in every respect, except that offhand he feels that the officials of the Belle Arts may not have acted in collusion with these crooks. At all events he will take the whole dossier with which we supplied him last year, to Europe, and is now of course more than ever anxious to have a conversation with you in Paris.

As I wrote you on June 9th., he expects to arrive there on June 19th., or 20th., and will be staying at the Hotel Regina. He confirmed that whatever action is now taken under these particular developements [[developments]] will come strictly within the retainer of $350.- paid last December.

I also wish to acknowledge receipt of the following:

Copy of your letter dated June 3rd., 1950 to Mr. V.R. Young, which I am adding to my McKay Morant file to be taken up with you in September.

Bank statement of the firm's account with J.P.M. which you returned to me.

Draft of my letter to McKay Morant & Co., in reference to the special insurance of some of our frames, for which I wrote officially today.

[SETTING BOXES: As per the request of your fiche of May 15th., Tiffany tell us that they make no setting boxes except for their own use.

[CURTAIN FRONT ROOM: After roaming around most all day Jack finally located a source where they would dye the required material to the shade we want. The whole proposition which included the velvet, dying and making up the curtain would come to approximately $75.00. In view of the sum involved we would like to have your okay before proceeding.

[INVOICE DE HAUKE: As suggested by Mrs. Parker I am enclosing herein our invoice in the sum of $35.70 being our disbursement respecting the Redon prints.

With best wishes

Sincerely yours
O. A. Liechti
