Dear Mr. Seligman:

A letter from Mr. Bardi this morning and dated June 8th reads as follows:

In the name of Mr. Chateaubriand too I want to inform you that we became somewhat late with the arrangements of change because of the difficulties in this field. We, however, are treating these proceedings with the utmost speed possible and hope that we will succeed these days to have this operation made. With best regards from the Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo, V.S.Y. P.M. Bardi director.

As it does not require an answer and as it might also be just as well that he did know you are away I am not acknowledging it.

Incidentally I have done nothing whatsover about Modestini who may have sailed meanwhile.

Other than the above there is nothing particular to be said since my last letter.

I have a client, a girl I have known for twenty years, who has a sumptuous apartment at 880 5th who has asked me to recommend some paintings to her. The apartment has just been done over, wired for music and even a Wendel light installed for the to-be-purchased painting. I am going to give her a ring this afternoon and try to make an appointment here on Monday, as I do want want her to think I am dying to sell her something.

However, none of the paintings I intend showing would be over $5,000 as it will be her very first painting purchase.

Best of everything,

T.D.P.
