Dear Mr. Rathbone:

When Mr. Curt Valentin returned from St. Louis last week he asked me in the absence of Mr. Seligman to follow up with you the matter of the painting by HANS VON KULMBACH "Mary Salome, Zebedee and their two children, St. John, and St. James".

When you have a few spare moments would you be so kind as to send a note saying whether you found the painting of interest for consideration by your museum or whether you wish to return it.

As Mr. Valentin no doubt told you Mr. Seligman's stay in Europe will be a very short one and we are hoping he will be back in New York by the middle of May.

Yours very sincerely,
(Mrs. T.D. Parker)
