NEW YORK (22) April 21, 1951

Dear Mr. Seligman:

Enclosed in a letter from Dr. Eissler and our acknowledgement.

There has been little news the past couple of days; for one thing we are completely involved with the Lebrune and secondly the general public is in a similar situation with McArthur, which reminds me that when McArthur passed yesterday the group watching from Knoedlers included Robert Levy Leyland who was seated on one of the upstairs window ledges.

A rumor is that Rosenberg has changed his mind about closing his gallery and leaving New York. He is supposed to have discovered there were unpleasant aspects of a South American establishment including the question of taxes!

This morning we received a catalogue which includes the property of Lee Ault and other owners: Some very insipid Renoirs and other paintings equally unimpressive being sold at the Kende Gallery.

Hope you are well

Sincerely

T. D. P
