April 18, 1951

Dear Mrs. Dickerman:

This will confirm the message I conveyed to you on behalf of Mr. Seligman and as a result of a long-distance conversation with him from Paris this morning.

Negotiations which he started some time before leaving for Europe, have resulted in the possibility of his obtaining a definite offer for your painting of a Young Girl by Fragonard, of Forty-Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars to us ($42,750.-) and from which sum our agreed-upon commission would be deducted by us.

In the event that the deal can be concluded with the party in question, payment would be made on or before the end of December 1951.

When we will have received further word from Mr. Seligman as to the outcome of the continued negotiations on the above basis which you found agreeable, we will, of course, communicate with you.

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. T. D. Parker
