Dear Mrs. Morgenthau:

Before Mr. Seligman left for Paris he told me that should anyone evidence interest in the little Picasso painting "Verre, Bouteille de Bass, Journal" to say that we were not entirely free regarding it.

This was because he felt that you might like to be posted first.

A request has just come to have the painting sent out of town on approval, but before doing so I am sending you these lines in the event that you might like to see it again.

Hoping you will drop in,

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. Alma Morgenthau
