Dear Mr. Bier:

I did not return directly to Paris as I originally intended, hence this delay in writing you. You will find herein my firm's check in the amount of $1,952.00 (one thousand nine hundred and fifty-two dollars) in payment in full of your invoice of June 22, 1954. (Check No. 1132, drawnon J. P. Morgan & Co., New York of even date.)

I thank you for your accompanying letter and indeed would be much obliged to you for imparting to me the additional information alluded to in reference to the drawing of Pious VII. [[note]] #1132 [[/note]]

Do also have my thanks for instructing Messrs. Chenue regarding the shipment of the latter drawing.

May I ask you to be so good as to acknowledge receipt of this letter to me at the Hotel Ritz, Place Vendome, Paris.

With best regards to Mrs. Bier and to you,

Sincerely yours,

P.S. Would you be good enough to tell Mrs. Bier that her friend she told me about never telephoned?
