[[top margin]] Dear Porjes - []

June 9, 1954

Dear Mr. Seligman:

I received today a letter from C. Valentin Gall. acknowledging our check.

I also received from Mons. Baderou an invoice totalling Frs. 80.000. - in connection with some pictures which you evidently bought. As the invoice is not receipted please advise whether I should order a check in the above mentioned amount?

[] No – I shall give him a check in Paris in $. []

I talked today to Mr. Gelb in connection with the Ingres. He did not hear anything yet from Geneva.

The Lawyer of the Landlord called up today. He wanted to know where he stands in connection with signing a new lease as he wants plan ahead. I told him we made some suggestions. He said a lease is only possible on his basis. I said Mr. G.S. is out of town and Mr. Robbins our lawyer takes care of these matters. He asked me to talk to Mr. Robbins about it and either I or Mr. Robbins should call him. I promised this.

Of course I called Mr. Robbins and he said this is a lot of nonsense. Mr. Coen knows exactly that we could stay here without signing a lease at least until June 1955. I should send to Mr. Robbins all my notes, suggestions, memos in connection with my conversations with Mr. Coen. He will advise me what to do.-

Of course I will post you.

[[note]] O.K.

G.S. [[/note]]

Yours very sincerely
