Dear Mr. Porges:

Herein you will find copy of my letter of June 3rd to Mr. Robert Lebel, as well as copy of my letter to Veron, Grauer, shippers, Geneva, which both you will find self-explanatory.

Upon receipt of this letter, you will cable Mackay-Morant to insure this painting while in transit for its full price of $12,000.00 (twelve thousand dollars).

This painting is being shipped without a frame.

For purposes of description, it is to be found in the new book on Ingres published by Georges Wildenstein, Catalogue No. 80, and illustrated on page 180, Figure #43.

Once landed in New York, it will have to go to the Manhattan Warehouse and is not to be photographed until I return as I think a very light cleaning might improve it.

Best greetings
