August 10, 1954

Dear Mr. Seligman:

Today when I came back from the gallery where I met Mrs. Parker and Mr. Malone from Houston, I found your letter of August 6th. Mrs. Parker is going to report to you about all particulars in connection with Mr. Malone's visit.-

Mrs. Parker handed over to me a letter from Maitre Rheims, which was forwarded to her by Mr. Galton. There was also enclosed an exact accounting of the last auction of tapestries (all expenses) and he advised us of the transfer in the near future through the Franco-American Banking Corp. He also mentioned that due to difficulties it is impossible to transfer the Frs. 10.000.- to the USA, but he would like us to name a representative in Paris, to whom he could turn over this amount. I understand you are returning to Paris August 20. I would suggest that you communicate with M. Rheims.-

Mrs. Parke who looked extremely rested returned this afternoon to Hawley. Mrs. Porjes is recovering from the operation slowly as expected but we are planning to leave the city sometimes next
