August 27, 1954

Dear Dave:

Your letter of August 24 has greatly perturbed us and I am indeed sorry to hear about the accident, as Pat, our maid, has beenwith me for practically fifteen years. I am unable, unfortunately, to answer your questions, though I would assume that we have taken all necessary steps to protect her. The one person who will be able to post you is Mr. O. Porjes. I am under the impression that he will get in touch with you on September 1st, however, should he not do so, why not get in touch with him at his home?

I am enclosing herein a letter from the firm's insurance company in London and please be good enough to turn it over to Porjes when you see him. He will find it self-explanatory I am sure.

On account of Pat's accident, Ethlyne will leave ahead of me, though the date of her departure is not quite set on account of the difficulty of obtaining plane seats, but she should be in town by the 1st or 2nd.

I am much obliged to you for taking care of all these different matters.

With kindest thoughts,

Sincerely,

Germain Seligman
