Suvretta House St. Moritz Switzerland August 6, 1954 McKay-Morant & Co., Ltd. King William Street House London, EC4, England Gentlemen: My manager, Mr. O. Porjes, advises me that he requested you, per his letter of July29th, Re: Open Cover #33, to cover against breakage two sculptures, our No. 8251, one statuette of St. Genvieve, our No. 8250, "Mercury". It seemed advisable to him to take this extra precaution as I had not sufficiently posted him about the medium and type of these sculptures. However, may I ask you to cancel this extra breakage coverage which is quite unncessary, retaining, of course, the maritime insurance without the breakage clause. My galleries in New York being closed for the month of August, I would be obliged to you for acknowledging receipt of this letter to me personally either at the above address where I shall remain until the morning of the 14th, or to the Hotel Ritz, Place Vendome, Paris, which I shall reach on August 20th. Thanking fyou for taking care of this matter, Yours very sincerely, Germain Seligman Copy to Mr. O. Porjes
