Madame G. Leboeuf
Grand Hotel de Milan
Milan, Italie

Dear Madame Leboeuf:

Do have my thanks for your very kind letter of May 28th and per your desire, I am returning to you herein the five photographs you forwarded to me with the regret that they do not interest me.

The matter of the Entombment of Christ is too complicated a one to take up by letter and if, as I hope, I am going to Italy in July, I will be glad to talk it over with you.

Let me say that the collection of Durer drawings is well known to me and, in fact, is at present in the hands of a dealer in New York and they belong to Prince L.

It is good of you to have asked Countess Buratti to communicate with me but in view of the little time I am spending in Paris, I am afraid I shall not be able to see her and the two portraits you mention are not exactly what I am looking for.

I am interested to read about the Grassi collection and as I said above, we will talk about it bye and bye.

I do appreciate your having written me as you did and I do hope you will excuse the shortness of these lines, but I am actually writing to you between planes, hence the briefness of this note.

With best personal greetings,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
