Suvretta House
St. Moritz, Engadine
Switzerland

July 26, 1954

Dear Mr. Sciolette:

You have been told, I am sure, of my several telephone calls of a few weeks ago when in vain I tried to see you. I gathered from the answers that you were traveling extensively and I do hope you had a pleasant and enjoyable time.

I had no particular purpose in mind except that it would have given me indeed much pleasure to see you again and thus be able also to congratulate you viva voce on your brilliant promotion. This, I am afraid, however, will have to wait until we have another opportunity of meeting.

Mrs. Seligman and I are enjoying a few weeks of rest in this beautiful resort but around the 12th of August when we will leave St. Moritz, we will be traveling for a couple of weeks, reaching Paris toward the end of August for a few days stay before flying back to New York on the 5th of September. Will you then be in Paris, for I would feel truly distressed not to have seen you at all this year.

I do hope Mrs. Sciolette is well, please be so good as to convey my respects to her and with my best regards,

Sincerely,

Germain Seligman
