July, 2,1954

Dear Mr. Seligman:

I am in receipt of your letter dated June 28, 1954 and in accordance Miss Bixby mailed it at-once to Mons. Lebel the requested photo of the painting attrib. to Artemesia Gentilago by Air-mail.

I am enclosing herein copy of the accounting received today from Maitre Rheims. As usual there are a lot of expenses. I also received a check from the Franco American Bank for

$ 3,999.77 (F.Frs. 1,403.427 à 28-1/2)

which I deposited with J.P. Morgan. This amount represents all sales made so far and the "bon de vente" sent you June 30 for signature covers---the balance of the tapestries. Unfortunately he did not include the promised Frs. 10.000.- deducted from the "Mater Dolorosa". I intend to acknowledge receipt of the check but would like to get your advice whether I should mention it and furthermore I want to give you a chance to check the current deductions.-

Mrs. Parker left yesterday for Hawley and arrived safely - we talked to her over the phone. She assigned to the ladies work to be done before our closing.

I took note from Mr. Cunningham's letter that the two Mss. are being returned to their owner and will cancel the insurance as soon as notified by Chenue.

I am enclosing some mail from the apt.

With best greetings to you and Mrs. Seligman,

Yours very sincerely
