Dear Mr. Seligman:
The Burlington Magazine arrived yesterday with notice of an auction that sounds interesting at Sotheby on Thursday, June 9th. The first part is a group of drawings, property of Archibald G. B. Russell, Esq., c.v.o. - among the artists are Lotto, Baccafumis, Veronese, Jordaens, and van Dyck. The second part is other paintings and drawings - amoung them, a group of drawings (Francesco di Giorgio, Bellini, Holbein the Younger) xxxxxxxxxxx from the Misses M. H., L. E., and M. D. Le Hunte. More information when the sale catalogue arrives.

Beginning May 18th, Messrs. Wildenstein of London is holding an exhibition of painting and drawing in Rome by both native and foreign artists from 1600 to 1650 - Caravaggio, Gentileschi, A. Carracci, Elsheimer, Vouet, etc. Mr. Mahon is one of the organizers and Lenders; also loans from the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, of which it would appear (from the article) that Dr. V. Oberhammer is now director, Dr. Buschbeck appatently having retired. You might want to know this in case you go to Vienna.

On May 24th is a sale at the Galerie Charpentier (exposition May 23rd); paintings by Lallemand, Le Nain, de Grebber, D. Halo, Hubert Robert, Boudin, W. van de Velde, Brayer, Brianchon, Ceria, Forain, Harpignies, Jongkind, etc.

I wrote Mr. Schniewind today and shall send you the information as soon as I hear from him. The two Liechtenstein catalogues went off to you yesterday; today we are sending the letters to Mr. Parker and Mme. Demogé as directed.

Glad to hear tour trip was satisfactory, but I understand the weather is unpleasant in Europe - which is a shame, as it is delightful here -

Mr. Kelleher of K.C. came to see anlikers for Beals, and I am to send the museum a photo with price and data on Rosset's "Voltaire"

Phoned with Mr. Victor Hammer; wrote Miss Mongan; we will keep routine copies here for your return.

We are glad to know your flight was perfect. The message was at once communicated to Ethlyne.

Transcription Notes:
Fragmented handwriting squeezed in to bottom section of letter appears to be an answer to the last question on the page regarding “Which Rosset did our sculpture?” I have added this hand written verbiage in it’s entirety to the bottom of the transcription.
