Dear Mr. Thurkow:

You wrote me such a very charming letter that I do not wish to wait until I have the pleasure of seeing you to thank you for your kind lines.

Jacques Seligmann was my father who died over thirty years ago, and I am indeed happy to know you have kept such pleasant memories of him.

I am making a careful note of the best hours to telephone you and shall heed your recommendation to call up a couple of days ahead of time. Realizing how very busy you are, I appreciate all the more your willingness to show me your collection.

Looking forward to the privilege of seeing you soon,

Yours very sincerely,
Germain Seligman
