July 22, 1955

Dear Mr. Seligman:

I received your letter of July 20 this morning. As I told you on the phone,I, of course, read Lefebvre-F's letter but wanted your o.k. on his suggestion. I am enclosing herein copy of my letter to Lef.-F. I purposely did not mention anything about closing during August and gave instructions to have all pending items shipped immediately. I don't want to give him any excuse for delays.

I am only going away presumably for two weeks and as I am only one hour from New York I have made arrangements with Mr. Gelb that as soon as the shipments arrive to phone me. Thes cases will go to Brown's and on the other hand Brown will inform me in advance of the examination. I want to be present by opening of the case with the wax statue. The w.o.a. will stay at Brown"s"til our opening.

I am also enclosing copies of my letters to the East Side Answering Service, Holmes, and Mr. Robbins, who will be in New York during August except one week. Mrs. Parker suggested that all first class foreign lettersbe forwarded to you. In case you want this changed kindly inform me. While writing this, I think I will advise Mr. Robbins to send me the mail of Lefebvre Foinet in case he should send to the firm the documents.

I am also enclosing copy of letter as well as invoice covering the items we expect from Paris (incl. breakage for the wax statue). As you will see the premium is extremely high on account of the wax material.

The Stuttgarter Kunstkabinett acknowledges receipt of our check.
Queenie's key from the apt. will be left with the supt. of 875. as I do not know whether I am in the city August 29.

Mr Dattelbaum just called. He was sorry that he missed you. I have him your address & telephone number. If something important comes up he will contact you. He gives you regards.

With the best regards to you and Mrs. Seligman,
Yours very sincerely
