Dear Mr. Seligman:

To my greatest surprise Mrs. Seligman left yesterday on the "SS America" for Europe. I gave her $ 130.- in Travellers check in her name along, which I had in the safe.

I am enclosing copies of letters to McKay Morant in connection with a breakage reported by the Museum in Kansas City as per the enclosed photostat. Jack packed same the usual way. He sent it to Houston last year and nothing happened. I myself saw it before it went. Jack had put signs inside the case saying: "Before unpacking statue remove pads from top and sides first" and he is of the opinion they did not follow his instructions. I don't know whether you want to file a claim, but anyway I reported the case and am waiting for your reaction. For the old break we might not get anything and we don't know how much the new one will effect the depreciation and how much the repair will be. Mrs. Parker expects a letter from Mr. Kelleher.- The other letter is self-explanatory.

I talkd yesterday to Mr. Dattelbaum. He gives you regards and wants to tell you that the market is strong. He believes that your account in Madrid could be credited with the dividends but is of the opinion that the corresponding coupons have to be mailed, registred of course, to the bank. He wants your o.k.

We delivered today to Mr. Stora the statue "Vulcan" which we own in joint account upon his request.

I deposited to Mr. Cunningham's account the check for $ 800.--. The refund which is due for the unused premium of the Vermeer is to be credited to the Duc? I did not receive Credit [[?]]New York[[/?]]

, As I did not hear from Maggs Bros. as regards Ms. 89 and you did not mention anything I would like to know whether you had word from London.

All back issues as well as this years from Connaissance de Arts arrived yesterday.

Mr. Arthur Goldschmidt is not at the Madison Hotel and they don't expect him in the near future as he made no reservations.

                 With best greetings,

                                        Very sincerely

                                                 OP
