Dear Mr. Seligman:

J.P. Morgan send check of Sfrs. 40.000. today which I mailed at-once registered to Dr. Drack enclosing your letter, copy of your letter to Mr. Farago, my today's letter to Gondrand. (See enclosed copy of today s letter to Gondrand and my note to Dr. Drack). See also copy of my letter to McKay as regards the insurance thereon.

I took note that you mailed directly to Mr. Kofler our check in payment of the small sculptures. (See attached copy of my today's note to Gondrand).

As these two shipments are addressed to Bemo I posted him about it, in case same should arrive before September 3.

From the enclosed copy of my letter to Mr. Blum of Brown's warehouse you will see that I arranged as regards the frame from Mr. Gutman. I have also arranged that Brown's will keep the small drawing by Greuze which probably will arrive in a couple of weeks. See also copy of my note to Gutman, I thought it wise to write too.

The Maillol drawing as you know arrived and I mailed Mme Gomes the check of 1 Million Francs, copy of my letter was send to you.

The check from North Carolina arrived and I acknowledged receipt. I mailed to Mr. Hamilton the check of $400.-. Copies of both letters were send [[sent]] to you.

As regards the paintings whicht [[which]] probably will arrive from Bordeaux during August I have asked Budworth to keep pictures for us until Laborday. They have done so previously. Anyway it is a long procedure (as you remember the Delacroix from Venice) and might not pass the customs before August 31.

The liquor case arrived through Hudson Shipping. I was told although no duty payable you need a N.Y.State license to import a case of liquor and the State Tax thereon has to be paid. Mr. Cerillo of Hudson Shipping whom I know personally is taking care of this whole matter, (I mailed to him all declarations Mrs. Seligman gave me) which will take a few days. The case will be delivered to Mr. Robbins whom I posted, and who of course knows about the license. You always learn something...By the way, Cunard White Star mailed your trunk keys, which I have now.

I am enclosing herein copy of my today's letter to Mr. Robbins, Holmes Protection, East Side Telephone Answering Service, James C. Lewis as regards closing, which are self-explanatory. You realize that during the last week I was tremendous busy andI [[and I]] hope I took care of everything. But should you think of something I overlooked, please write to me home, as I am leaving town not before August 1: so that I am still able to arrange.

The painting job has been done. My new cabinet arrived and I am delighted how handy it is. The curtains have been picked up by the cleaner to be delivered after Laborday.
