Dear Mr. Seligman,

The following letter, together with catalogue and photograph were sent air mail by Sir Alec Martin to the Ritz to be forwarded. Unfortunately, the Ritz forwarded them regular mail and the sale is already past. (We received them here today the 25th.) 12th July 1957

"Dear Germain,

In the sale on Thursday next, Lot 12 is French Marble Bust of the Contesse de Montesson belonging to Mrs. Maurice Gubbay, which I thought might interest you.

I am therefore enclosing a catalogue of the sale with a photograph of the Bust in case you would care to send me a commission to buy it on your behalf.

Yours sincerely,
(signed) Alec Martin"

Address:
Christie, Manson & Woods Ltd.
8, King Street, St. Jame's
London, S.W.1, England

I hope you're enjoying your vacation. Best wishes. Sincerely,

Florence M. Kaplan
