MR. FEHELEY Yesterday afternoon, one of Mr. Duval's principals, Mr. Feheley, came in with two friends he described as collectors. I don't remember their names but they are about his age, around 35. I showed drawings from the Tiepolo "Sacrifice" up to the pair of Braques, which were what Mr. Feheley had been waiting for from the beginning. They stayed about an hour and the Braques were gone into and over thoroughly. I think Mr. Duval has told him he simply most[[must]] buy the Braques and he seems mad about them so we shall see. Perhaps word will come from Duval. Mr. Feheley indicated he might come back with his wife today but I think it would be better if he came back with Duval. It is for Mr. Feheley that the Lebrun's have gone to Canada, and he is flying out to see Rico on Friday.

None of the three of them seems to think highly of Martin Baldwin, nor of the acquisitions of the National Gallery, and they as much as said that the Curator of Drawings there, the little lady who came here when you were away this winter, doesn't know what she is doing, but they adore Ted Heinrich and seem to be counting on him to influence all of Canada.

While they were here, Mr. Schlenoff came in, but he is going to have to come back today.

Mr. Feheley told me that most of the purchase money of the Art Gallery of Toronto is supplied by Joseph Hirshhorn.

Do tell miss Kaplan I appreciate her note - being heard. There is a considerable step in the good direction - but she has to keep at it -
