NATIONAL GALLERY LONDON SHIPMENT After a conversation Mr. Porjes had with Bemo we have a decided to use the services of Chenue. The Queen Mary will not be going to London naturally so there was the problem of transportation to London from Southampton, and the fact that we are told the Railroad would not accept paintings. Futhermore that would create a problem about expenses for the National Gallery which we presume you would not wish. Thus Chenue will be in charge and Mr. Porjes will send the Bill of Lading as well as the Consignment Invoice to Chenue by airmail when they arrive, probably tomorrow. We are posting the National Gallery about this.

DR. ROSENTHAL OF SAN FRANCISCO Yesterday he came in to our show and I am to let him know if MS 82 comes back from London. However I will first let Mr. Kup have a chance at it, "If it does return." [[handwritten]]

DR. MILLIKEN OF CLEVELAND just dropped in to see our show. He asked me to tell you he did not come to see anyone but I told him you would be back for the better part of a week in July. He was absolutely intreagued by the Knop, asked which of the Stocklets it came from - a question which I could not answer. Then he asked whether he might look at the Fall and Winter sculptures about which he seems very serious, still saying they have no money. he just looked at them, not asking the price of them nor of anything else.

TIEPOLO PRICES Received your telegram requesting cost and selling prices of Tiepolo Leopards. Answered "COST THIRTEEN HUNDRED. SELLING TWENTY-EIGHT HUNDRED.

MOREAU Yes it looks very well...I just thought you might think more highly of Jack's technical reaction.

TRANSPARENCY GERICAULT We have the following not from Mr. Eisendrath "I have just returned from the West after having been gone a week. I have ordered a transparency made of the Gericault, 5 x 7 in. The price, however, is $75.00 which I hope will not be too excessive. These transparencies are made for us by a photographer here in town who does all of our work.

Hoping this is satisfactory, and I will mail it to you when it is finished at the end of the week.

Sincerely yours,
(Signed)
but as it is no doubt too late to change our minds we might as well accept the figure gracefully and hope that they accept our figure for the Gericault.

BOB JONES was just in - delightful. He inquired about the Gaddi, so I said it had been sold. He asked whether there were [[are]] any separate miniature pages so I showed him the Bourdichon, quoted the price $1800, no reaction but he may come back to that as t.s.v.p [[hand written]] "reverse"
