Dear Mr. Berman:

Do have my thanks for your very nice letter of January 25.

Your returning the drawing is, of course, the only solution as we would not want you to keep a work of art which would not give you full satisfaction and provide you with the expected enjoyment.

I am indeed anxious to see what happened between the time you saw the sketch here and when you received it.

My curiosity is all the more aroused by Mrs. Gahde being unable to correct this situation.

Mrs. Parker and I are looking forward to your visit next week and mean while with our best greetings,
