{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
it was only last year that Bruce [[?]] and I proposed the idea of this speech.
[00:18:09]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
And it was as recently as February,
[00:18:13]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
at the meeting of the WIPA Bureau in Berlin,
[00:18:17]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
that we asked Ruth Mitchell,
[00:18:20]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
would it be possible for Angola to host the meeting.
[00:18:26]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
As always, OPA responded,
[00:18:30]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
with the help of the Party, the people, the government of Angola,
[00:18:35]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
the virtuous countries, to help us get tickets,
[00:18:39]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
this roundtable is a reality.
[00:18:43]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
As we believe, it will be a powerful contribution,
[00:18:48]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
to the anti-apartheid year.
[00:18:54]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
Over the next two days, we will discuss
[00:18:57]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
how we can step up solidarity, with the children, the women,
[00:19:03]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
and the people of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia,
[00:19:09]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
in their struggle for national liberation,
[00:19:12]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
for the consolidation of national independence of the free African states,
[00:19:18]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
the democracy, progressive development and peace in Africa.
[00:19:26]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
It is significant that we are meeting during the United Nations
[00:19:31]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
International Anti-Apartheid year.
[00:19:35]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
For, in common, with all who struggle for freedom,
[00:19:40]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
progress, and peace in the world,
[00:19:44]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
we have an obligation to intensify the struggle against Apartheid,
[00:19:50]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
and for its complete and final eradication.
[00:19:56]

{SPEAKER name="Freda Brown"}
We also see this meeting as part of the preparation
