Stevenson at Lynchburg. It as follows: Ned Horton (col'd) whose vote was bought with a bottle of liquor, drank and created a disturbance. When information was given to policeman, his arrest was postponed until next day; very soon in a drunken state he fired a Navy Revolver five times, shooting three colored men, who were not engaged in the disturbance. One was carrying a bag of meal to his family, he appealed to Lt. S. for aid & was refused. A white man by the name of Sam. Boyd encouraged the colored man
