   By direction of the Secretary of War, and in accordance with your request of October 28, 1868, the appointment of Mr. S.B. Smith as an Agent in the State of Virginia made January 1, 1868, from this Office, is hereby revoked to date Novr 20th 1868.  His services being no longer required.
